2. Answer the following question in about 600 words.
Discuss the importance of grammar games in teaching of grammar. Suggest some games, which you will use to improve grammar of students in class VII.

What are the criteria to select vocabulary items for teaching a language ? Discuss.
3. Answer any four of the following questions in about 150 words each :
(a) How dictation can be used for developing students' speech skills ?
(b) What are the principles that should guide the use of reading comprehension exercises ? Discuss one of them in detail.
(c) Reporting is an important writing skill. Discuss the characteristics of a good report.
(d) Differentiate between intensive and extensive reading.
(e) Discuss the advantages of games in teaching grammar.
(f) Distinguish between silent reading and reading aloud.
4. Answer the following question in about 600 words.
Suppose you are appointed in a hindi medium school as a teacher of English. Draw up a plan for developing proficiency of children in reading - writing skills.
