8. What is E-R model? What are the various symbols used to draw E-R diagram?

9. (a) Briefly explain about Client Server architecture.

(b) What are the advantages and disadvantages of Distributed Database? 



10. (a) Differentiate Relational Algebra and Relational Calculus. 

(b) Discuss Tuple-oriented relational calculus by taking a suitable example.

11. Consider the following table:

Employee (Emp_Name, Dept, Name, Salary)

Write the SQL statements for the following:

(i) Find the employee name who is getting lowest salary. 

(ii) Find the department name which has highest everage salary, 

(iii) Find all the departments where more than 60 employees are working



12. Discuss normalization. Explain first normal form, second normal form, third normal form with suitable examples. Also, define and explain functional dependency.



13. (a) What is Database integrity? List the Database integrity rules.

(b) Explain the various types of security threats that adversely affect the database system. 



14. (a) Differentiate between DDL and DML.

(b) Discuss the data types used in Oracle with suitable examples.
