Read the given passage carefully and write a précis : It was Napoleon who once observed that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. This is a fact which stresses the importance of mothers. It is in mother's lap that a child gets its first impressions which are lasting. There are numerous examples in history to prove that several great men, became great, because in their infancy they came under the healthy influence of their mothers. Educated mothers can look after children very efficiently. They are quite aware of the rules of health which they can observe to keep their children neat and healthy. They can give their children the lessons in three R's. They can really mould the mind of their children in the best possible manner. They can point out and enforce good manners. They can make them aware of the civic sense and help them in behaving as good members of Society. An educated man, when engaged in his profession, does not have an opportunity to educate others. On the other hand, an educated mother has the privilege of educating her entire family, large or small. It has been rightly remarked that all great men had great mothers. Moreover, the role played by mothers in building up a nation is indeed praiseworthy.
