SECTION-A 

1. Write short notes on the following:

(ii) SPMD and MPMP 

(iii) Parallel virtual machine 

(iv) Computer memory architecture with appropriate example.

2. What is the concept of cloud computing? How did it evolve? Explain various service models used in cloud computing with suitable example.

3. (i) Under metadata repository explain the types of OLAP servers and also compare them. 

(ii) Draw the data warehouse architecture and explain its various components.

4. (i) Write about the multidimensional data model. Explain how it is used in data warehousing. 

(ii) With a neat diagram, give a brief explanation of the various components of three-tier data warehouse architecture.

(ii) Give the architecture of a typical data mining system. 

6. (i) Discuss about the social impacts and various trends in data mining

(ii) Explain various data mining functionalities in detail with a suitable example of each.

(ii) What is mobile Operating System? What is its need? Explain the types of operating systems used in mobiles.

(ii) Explain the various kinds of mobile network systems with appropriate example of each.
