3^rd Exam/Elect/0652/May’10

Duration: 3 hrs.

Note: Attempt any four questions. Question No. 1 & 5 are compulsory.

1.      Draw the graphical symbol of the following

a.     Distribution fuse board without switches (power)

b.     Break contact wit neutral position

c.      Break contact delayed operation

d.     Pendent switch

e.      Energy meter

f.       Flood light

g.     Exhaust fan

h.     Squirrel cage, three phase induction motor

i.       Transformer with three separate windings

j.       Shunt resistor

2.     Draw the wiring diagram and single line diagram of a main panel for three phase main board starting form three phase energy meter to three phase distribution board for control of three. 3 phase motors.

3.     Draw only wiring diagram of control circuit for a 3 phase induction motor which should change its direction of rotation after specified interval of a time. The motor should rotate for two minutes in forward direction and should automatically reversed for next two minutes and so on

4.     Redraw the circuit shown in fig.1 and label various components on it marked as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8.

5.     Draw the elevation looking form ‘A’ and side view looking form ‘B’ without section of the assembly of pole core, pole shoe and field winding shown in fig. 2. Assume any missing dimension proportionately

Draw the elevation looking form ‘A’ and top view of a fuse carrier shown in fig. 3 assume any missing of dimension proportionately.
