Section A

Note: Attempt any three questions from section A and Question No. 2 of section B is compulsory.

1.      

a.     Draw the spread footing foundation for a load bearing wall 300 mm thick using thumb rules taking projection of concrete block 150mm on each side and internal height of room 3.10 m. Also show the position of DPC.

b.     Draw the front elevation and sectional plan of a wire gauge-fly proof shutter with flush door 900 x 2005 mm.

c.      Draw the details of terrazzo floor finish over ground floor level.

d.     Draw two courses of T-junctions of on brick thick walls in English bond.

Section –B

2.     Draw the detailed plan front elevation and section through X-X  of a building shown in figure for the following data and given line plan. Height

of Room =3.60m

Height of verandah                  =3.60m

Thickness of walls                            =300 m

Sunshade over windows                   =450 mm wide

Two brick pillars 300 x 300 mm on both ends of varandah

Front wall

D=1.10 x 2.10m

W=1.50 x 1.20

A=1.50 x 1.50

Note: other data such as foundation may be assumed as per standard specifications.
