refrigerator.
08 a. Describe the functions and working of any one
compressor of a refrigerator.
b. What is the purpose of a condenser? Give a comparison
of water-cooled and air-cooled condenser.

importance in an air conditioning system- DBT,
WET, DPT, degree of saturation total enthalpy of air.
b. Explain the significance of various lines on a

Q8 a. Enumerate various heat sources for calculation of
heat load in an air conditioning system and factors affecting them.
b. Differentiate between room sensible heat factor,
effective room sensible heat factor and grand sensible heat factor.
