your answer.

What are the major differences between
the Behaviorist and cognitive views of language learning ? What views do you
subscribe to and why ?

How will you distinguish between
'Teacher Centered' and 'Learner Centered' Instructional Approaches ? Discuss
the learner centered approaches that can be used for teaching English ?
3. Answer any four of the
following questions in about 150 words each :
(a) What is the difference between
'intensive' and 'extensive' listening ?
(b) What do you understand by the term
'authentic materials' ? Give examples of two situations where you can use
authentic materials for teaching English.
(c) How can a teacher use task
centered fluency practice for developing oral skills ?
(d) How can speaking activities be
integrated with other skills such as reading and writing ? Give an example to
illustrate it.
(e) Give example of any vocabulary
game and illustrate how you will use it to test the student ?
(f) Give an example of an error
identification item which can be used to test grammar.

What do you understand by role play ?
Devise a role play task as a speaking activity. Discuss your role as a teacher
